Vast, snow-covered mountainsides, perfectly groomed pistes, feathery powder snow – and in the background, the pyramid shape of the 3789-metre-high Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain. An outing in the Grossglockner/Heiligenblut Ski Area is a fantastic experience, not just for winter sports enthusiasts, but also for photographers, nature lovers, and anyone with an appreciation for truly breathtaking views.

Current Information

New dynamic price model for ski tickets – The Grossglockner Cableways are introducing a dynamic price model for the coming winter season – those who book early will benefit.

All ticket prices can be viewed transparently in the online ticket shop. Thanks to the dynamic pricing, day tickets, for example, are available from just € 42.50 and 6-day tickets from € 203.50.

Natural snow and open ski room

The ski resort Grossglockner Heiligenblut is characterized by a number of attributes. The snow reliability is high, the slopes are varied and the waiting times at cable cars and lifts are kept within limits. The 55 kilometers of slopes and 11 lifts make optimal use of the terrain and there is enough free skiing space left and right of the groomed slopes. Powder fans and freeriders are in wonderful hands in and around Heiligenblut.

Beginner to expert - something for everyone

Alpine skiing, carving, snowboarding or off-piste skiing – the professional instructors at the Grossglockner/Heiligenblut Snowsports School will be happy to teach you anything you’ve set your heart on. Learn from the pros, no matter what sports equipment you’re using At the Ski Nursery, even the youngest budding athletes learn the basics of life on the slopes, while those ages 4 and up are able to join a kid’s group lesson. For a greater athletic challenge, there are alpine skiing and snowboarding courses. As with most things, one-to-one lessons are the fastest way to success. Safety first - conduct on the slopes

We always keep to marked and authorised runs
After stopping, we look up the slope before continuing
We are never reckless – we control our speed and demeanour at all times
We stay aware of what’s happening around us, and adapt our speed to the level of visibility
Slower skiers and snowboarders always have right of way
We never linger below ridges or in areas with restricted visibility
Mountainsides outside of the marked ski area are entered at the skier’s own risk
